FUNDS AND GRANTS

Funding education and development in boxing-related work and communities.

We provide funding and in-kind support, including equipment, as well as small Education & Development Awards to help gyms, youth centres, charities, boxers and coaches expand education, development and career opportunities.

    This fund is delivered in rounds. Each round sets aside a pool of funding to support gym equipment, including boxing bags, boxing rings, skipping ropes, wraps, and more.

    Previous Round

    For our inaugural Equipment Fund in November 2025, we distributed £10k worth of boxing bags to the community.

    We received 127 applications and awarded grants to five organisations: Adam Harper Boxing Clever CIC, Brightstar Boxing, Garrison Boxing Club, Rathbone Amateur Boxing Club CIC, and West London Boxing Academy CIC.

    All applicants were notified of the outcome by email by 10 December.

    Current Status

    The next round of Equipment Fund will be opened soon. Please sign up to our mailing list or follow us on social media to stay up to date with our different funding rounds.

    The Ben Amanna Education Grant is designed to support small, targeted educational activities that contribute to the further development of Amateur Boxers and Coaches.

    How it works

    Each cycle, we award up to £250 to one amateur boxing coach and one amateur boxer to support their education and development. Please download this information pack, and apply by filling out the application form below.

Background and Eligibility

This might include how long you have been involved, your role, where you train/coach, and your current context.

Educational proposal

Please describe in detail the activity, course, or learning opportunity you wish to undertake and provide a link or any form of external sources of the described opportunity.

Funding Breakdown

Funds must not be used to cover recurring costs, including groceries or ongoing training costs.

You do not need to provide formal quotations. An example breakdown with relevant proof is sufficient. Example: Course fee: £120, Travel: £40, Learning materials: £30

Impact and Knowledge Sharing

This may be through Boxing Is Love social media platforms, a short reflection, or other agreed formats.

Approximate dates are sufficient.

Over the next three months, the Boxing is Love Equipment Fund will be giving away free punching bags and offering an additional £10,000 worth of high-quality boxing bags at heavily subsidised rates to UK gyms, charities, and youth organisations that share our values. The application form below includes guidance to help you complete each section with confidence.

For who?

This fund is open to UK-based boxing gyms, charities, and youth-focused organisations that can demonstrate how their work reflects the values of Boxing is Love.

What happens if my application is successful?

• Pre-filled boxing bags will be delivered directly to your gym within one week of notification.

• The Boxing is Love team will also arrange a visit to record a short video interview about your work and impact.

Boxing is Love Equipment Fund Application: Boxing Bags

Tell us who you work with and how you make your gym a place for young people who might otherwise be left out or overlooked (Equity). Share a short story about a young person who found their voice, confidence, or sense of belonging in your gym (Voice, Community).

Explain how boxing is more than just a sport in your gym. Do you use it to teach life lessons, resilience, or bigger ideas in a way that’s easy for young people to connect with (Knowledge Made Accessible)? Tell us how you prepare young people for education, jobs, or healthier futures (Transformation). You could also describe how your gym brings people together from different backgrounds (Community).

Let us know if you work with other groups like schools, youth clubs, or community organisations (Community). Finally, confirm if you’d be happy to share stories or photos so we can celebrate your impact together.”
